No. The course starts with the basics — hydrangea biology, key terms and the grower’s year — and builds up to advanced techniques. If you already grow hydrangeas or other flowers, you will get a systematic approach and practical details from Dutch growers.
The course follows the grower's year, from December to November, so you can go at your own pace and come back to each month's instructions when you need them. Modules 1–3 open right after payment, and the next modules open every week. There are no strict deadlines. Live Q&A sessions take place in real time, but they are optional and recorded. Individual consultations (Comprehensive plan) are scheduled at a time that suits you. The course is designed for growers who combine learning with their main job or running a business.

No. The course is useful both for those who already have a greenhouse and for those who are only planning one. You will learn what a hydrangea crop needs — greenhouse, pots or open ground, substrate, irrigation and climate — so you can plan your investment before you build. Many growers start on a small area and scale up once the system works.
The course is based on Dutch growing conditions: our climate, growing systems, plant material, products and prices. The principles work in many countries, but results depend on your local climate, water, soil, available products and regulations. Adapting the technology to your conditions is your own decision and responsibility. In the Comprehensive plan, we help you with this in four individual consultations, where we look at your climate and goals together.
